Gift

Gifts are collectibles in Boing Boing Animals. They are received from adult slimes that reach maximum growth EXP.

Accessing

Gifts can be viewed using the codex, in the "Gift Codex" tab. Unlocked gifts will display their image and description when tapped while any unobtained gifts are displayed as a silhouette with "???" as their name and the description "Not found yet!" If a gift is discovered for the first time, the codex will show a small red alert symbol that will persist until its corresponding gift entry is tapped.

The "Slime Codex" tab also contains a gift tab for each slime, which shows a list of all gifts that slime has a chance to give. This can be accessed by tapping the small gift box icon tab next to the exclamation tab within a slime's entry.

Behavior

Slimes can only gift the player once they reach adulthood. This can be done through normal growth or feeding a non-adult slime the Fast Growth Potion. Upon reaching 100% growth EXP while in the adult stage, they will stop moving and display a speech bubble with a gift box on it. Tapping this bubble will display a larger version of the gift box with a randomly chosen colored wrapping paper and bow with the text box below reading, "[Slime name] has got a gift for you! Open it!" Tapping the gift box will reveal the gift inside and the text "You've received [Gift name] as a gift!" will be displayed in the text box. The name of the gift will be included in the slime's info card afterward.

Every slime the player raises can only gift one time. The gift the slime gives is randomly selected from the gifts listed in their Slime Codex entry. There is a 5% chance that the gift will be the Letter Paper (regardless of slime) while the remaining gifts shown in their codex entry have an equally weighted chance. For example, the Dog has an equal chance to give the player the Pebble, One Mitten, or the Ball.

Twig	Not just any twig. Carefully chosen.
Antler Shaped Twig	Cool twig shaped like a deer's antler.
Beehive Piece	Full of sweet honey.
Pebble	Small, pretty pebble.
Lotus Leaf	Round and smooth lotus leaf.
Iceberg Piece	Piece of a rare blue iceberg.
Bottle Cap	Still has the sweet scent of soda on it.
Small Bell	Adorable little bell. Jingles.
Feather	Light, shiny feather.
Cardboard Box	Strangely comfortable cardboard box.
Polka Dot Paper	Colorful paper with a polka dot pattern.
Yarn	Soft and warm yarn, made of fur.
Handkerchief	Small handkerchief embroidered with flowers.
One Mitten	Lost mitten.
Mousy Toy	Squeaky mouse toy.
Fish Toy	Stuffed with catnip.
Ball	Ball with teeth marks all over.
Snake Toy	Wiggle it around to make it look more like a snake.
Cookie's Toy	Cookie's bone-shaped toy. Squeaky. Wet with saliva.
Shedded Skin	Shedded skin. Resembles a sock.
Furball	Furball made of shedded fur.
Pink Furball	Smells like cotton candy, but smells deceive.
Rainbow Furball	Pretty ball of fur with many colors mixed in.
Piggy Bank	Adorable piggy bank. Empty.
Bill	Crumpled banknote. Source unknown.
Coin	Shiny coin.
Rabbit Cushion	Small rabbit-shaped cushion.
Cat Cushion	Small cat-shaped cushion.
Mouse Cushion	Small mouse-shaped cushion
Wolf Plushy	Wolf-shaped plushy wrapped in a pink ribbon.
Teddy Bear	Adorable teddy bear with cotton sticking out of one side.
Panda Plushy	Chubby stuffed animal in the shape of a panda.
Monkey Plushy	Cute stuffed animal in the shape of a monkey.
Axolotl Plushy	Cute axolotl shaped doll.
Clay Doll	Clay doll found in a Shilla Dynasty grave that dates back 1600 years. Made to resemble a donggyeongi dog from back in the day.
Rubber Duck	Rubber duck-shape toy. A must-have for bathing.
Worm Jelly	Snake-like jelly worm.
Moonlight Bottle	Small glass bottle containing glimmering moonlight.
Sunlight Bottle	Small glass bottle containing warm sunlight.
Plant Fossil	Leaves have a surprising amount of detail.
Ammonite Fossil	Once roamed the seas.
Footprint Fossil	Somebody's footprint from a long time ago.
Fish Fossil	At least it died at home.
Flower Fossil	Fossil of a flower from 30 million years ago.
Trilobite Fossil	This one got fossilized while taking a nap.
Amber	Gem made of solidified resin. Contains something within.
Meteorite	Piece of a very old meteorite.
Dragon Orb	Rare dragon orb containing the power of a dragon.
White Tiger Orb	An orb that holds the White Tiger’s sacred power.
Fox Orb	Fox orb. Rich in mystical powers.
Slime Bouncy Ball	Bouncy ball that looks like a slime.
Slime Gold Coin	Gold coin used in the Republic of Slime.
Superconductor	Incredible substance easily found on the Republic of Slime.
Battery	Nearly drained battery.
Letter Paper	Has 'I love you' written in crooked letters.
Letter Envelope	Pretty letter envelope with a cute floral pattern.
Postage Stamp	Postage stamp issued by the Republic of Slime.
Geological Sample	Small glass bottle containing a geological sample from the planet B01-NG.
♥ Superconductor	Superconductor in the shape of a heart.
Slime Flower	Squishy flower that grows on the planet B01-NG.
Pumpkin Lantern	Mini plastic lantern in a Halloween pumpkin shape.
Piece of Garland	Piece of garland from Halloween decoration.
Halloween Candy	Halloween candy wrapped in sparkling wrapper.
Star Tree Topper	Star-shaped decoration from the top of a Christmas tree.
Christmas Ornament	Pretty decoration used on Christmas trees.
