Bathing
Bathing, also known as washing, is a care-related action in Boing Boing Animals. It involves using bathing tools to increase the hygiene levels of a slime and can also increase their growth EXP.
Accessing
The player can access the Bathing menu through the main menu in the top row. In the menu that appears at the top of the game window, the player can drag a bathing tool and move it to the desired slime. Bathing tools can be accessed in the main game window view or when a slime is selected.
Behavior
Slimes can be bathed once their hygiene reaches 80% or below, as long as they are not sick. As the selected bathing tool is rubbed over a slime, its hygiene will continuously increase until it reaches 100% or until the player stops using the bathing tool. In addition to hygiene levels, the slime will gain some growth EXP, provided they are not asleep or preparing to grow. Bathing tools do not affect a slime's next stage of growth.
Every slime has a particular favorite bathing tool, which will be highlighted in the Bathing menu. Using a slime's favorite bathing tool will cause them to receive double the amount of growth EXP than they would from any other bathing tool. The favorite bathing tool will also raise the slime's hygiene 1.5 times faster than a non-favorite tool.[1]
If five different bathing tools are used on one slime, they will earn an achievement.
Broom
The broom is a special bathing tool that is used to clean up turds by swiping over them rather than tapping on them individually. Slimes cannot be cleaned with the broom unless it is their favorite bathing tool. There is a 1 in 20 (5%) chance that a slime's favorite bathing tool will be the broom.[2]
